Galway Plate winner ‘Hewick’ headed the field for the Kerry National, the feature of the Harvest Festival at Listowel.

18 runners go to post for the 3-mile handicap chase on good ground at 4.20.

His trainer, Carlow’s John Shark Hanlon says he’s very happy with a stable star who has been one of the great racing stories of 2022 and he’s hopeful of another big run in today’s feature

“He is in really good form, I have done a bit of work with him this morning. he is ready for it and doing well.!

The Wille Mullins-trained ‘El Barra’ is the current favorite for the Kerry National at Listowel, coming off a successful few days for the trainer where Jockey Paul Townend rode a treble for his boss Willie Mullins on the opening day of the 2022 Listowel Harvest Festival.

Yesterday the Joseph O’Brien trained Neptune Rock won the featured listed contest earlier today on day 3 of The Listowel Harvest Festival. Shane Crosse rode the winner who got up late to win in the dying strides and afterward Dave Keena spoke to the winning jockey

There are seven races on today’s card and the first of them begins at 2 pm.
