Thomastown United Manager David Doyle says Evergreen will be extra motivated to win silverware locally after the disappointment of an early FAI Junior Cup exit to New Oak of the Carlow & District League.

Speaking to KCLR, David doesn’t think Evergreen are a declining force.

He said “I would be thinking that hang on maybe that put a thorn in their side now and they are a little bit upset and they are going to try, and rectify that locally so wounded animal is always more dangerous than anything else so I don’t think it’s a situation where Evergreen are sliding, I think it’s just maybe had their eye off the ball that morning maybe and they got caught”.
