Tinryland Masters Athlete Eddie Walsh says it was special that three Athletes from the one club achieved medal success at the British and Irish Masters Cross-Country Championships in Glasgow on Sunday.

Speaking to KCLR on last nights “The way it is”, Eddie says they were delighted to have run in the recent Irish trials which secured qualification for Sunday’s race…..

“John Joe Murphy won the individual in the over-65 and he was also on the Team Silver and Tommy Payne was Silver medalist in the Team in the over-55 and I won Gold on the Team over 60”

“It’s fairly good the three of us made the trial in Abbotstown a couple of weeks ago. We ran there and we qualified for the Irish Team so it was special that three of us made it from the one club”
