Ballyhale Shamrocks hurler TJ Reid is hoping for clean sweep for kilkenny clubs in the all ireland finals next weekend.
Conahy Shamrocks and Tullaroan are in action in their respectively finals at 4pm and 6pm on Saturday and Ballyhale are out on Sunday at 2 o’clock.
TJ told KCLR that it’s a great situation to be in for Kilkenny however it doesn’t always go to plan.
He said “Three Kilkenny teams representing Kilkenny is great for the town, the last time it was 2011 (three Kilkenny teams in a final together) O Loughlins, Dicksboro and Jock Lockes represented Kilkenny, Tullaroan are flying it and Conahy Shamrocks, so hopefully this time next week that all the clubs will be celebrating”.
There’s plenty of build up to the finals including the AIB GAA Roadshow in Langtons in Kilkenny on Wednesday 15th January.
Oisin Langan and Brendan Hennessy will talk to the local clubs from 7 o’clock followed by panel chats with guests including Kevin Fennelly, Elaine Alyward, Kieran Joyce and Ann Downey.
