Carlow Senior Football manager Turlough O’Brien says they are looking forward to the challenge of playing one of the top teams in the country.

Carlow make the trip to Ulster to play Cavan in Saturday’s Round 2 game in the All-Ireland Qualifier and speaking to KCLR, Turlough says that the Ulster men have a very strong panel

“Cavan were denied a penalty in the first-half – against Tyrone in last Sunday’s Ulster Semi-Final replay -, which might have made a difference if they had been awarded. They were 6 points down at the time, and it would have brought it back to three points just before half-time, and I think their heads dropped after that. Cavan are one of the top teams in the country at the moment, there is no doubt about that, they are actually getting promoted to Division One. They have won a number of Under-21s and they are a very very strong panel, very very strong panel so look it’s a tough ask, but the boys are looking forward to going up there, it’s a whole experience going to Ulster so we are hopefully going up there to give a good performance”

We’ll have live commentary and analysis of the game this Saturday with throw-in set for 5pm in Kingspan Breffni Park, Cavan with post match analysis on air and online here on the Fanzone.
