O’Loughlin Gaels Senior Hurling Manager Niall Bergin says that getting very tough matches since the Summer break has been very beneficial.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of today’s (Saturday) Senior Championship Quarter-Final clash against Mullinavat, Niall says the matches are good preparation ahead of battle hardened opponents.
He said “We returned after the break and we are after getting some very tough matches in against Bennettsbridge, James Stephens and Dicksboro and training has also gone well”.
“I know the conditions against Dicksboro weren’t great, but I think both teams went out to win that match and it ended up in a very tight game as well. It was good to get a good competitive game like that in considering the other teams have played Championship matches and of course Mullinavat have played two Championship matches”.
