Edinson Cavani was the most high profile signing made by Manchester United on transfer deadline day.

The Uruguayan striker was a free agent and he’s agreed a one year deal.

United have added Alex Telles from Porto for a fee of E17m.

Facundo Pellistri has also signed, while Amad Diallo will join them from Atalanta in January.

Chris Smalling has left the Red Devils to join Roma – the team he was on loan with last season.

Arsenal made the most expensive purchase.

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has moved to the Emirates Stadium from Atletico Madrid in a deal worth 50 million euro.

Lucas Torreira has moved in the opposite direction and joined the La Liga side on loan.

Theo Walcott has re-joined Southampton the club he started his career with, on a season long loan from Everton.

Ruben Loftus Cheek has agreed a deal with Fulham, on loan from Chelsea.

Elsewhere, Republic of Ireland midfielder Josh Cullen signed a three year deal at Belgian club Anderlecht.
