Tullow are through to this year’s Towns Cup semi-final.

The men from Black Gates overcame a strong Gorey side, away from home, to march into the semi-finals and set up a clash with 2016 champions, Wicklow.

Results on the day (Saturday) saw Tullow dispatch Gorey 25-19 and previous champions Wicklow knock out last year’s beaten finalists, Skerries (24-10). Further Wexford representation is assured as Enniscorthy demolished Clondalkin (62-10) while 1A champions Ashbourne saw off Cill Dara (38-7).

The semi-final draw was made immediately following Tullow’s game in Gorey, pitting the 2017 champions against the 2016 champions.

In the other semi final, Enniscorthy will face Ashbourne in what should be a bruising encounter.

The fixtures will be played at Cill Dara RFC’s grounds on Sunday 15 April, with Tullow v Wicklow kicking off at 2pm following by Enniscorthy v Ashbourne at 4pm.
