Tullow Rugby Club Head Coach Maurice Logue says the squad trained extremely hard over Christmas as they want to fulfil their potential.

Tullow defeated Carlow last Sunday to continue their surge up the League table and speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s League clash away to Monsktown, Maurice says the squad kept the effort going despite struggling earlier in the season…..

“We had a lot of training sessions over Christmas. We trained 27th, the 29th, the 31st, the 2nd and the 4th so it’s not like we have had a lot of time off, they had 6 days off from our last game and in fairness our numbers have been pretty consistent”

“They have been in around the 20 mark which is not bad and the majority of lads have been first team players as well so look, the boys have put a lot of effort in”

“When things weren’t going well and we were a little bit off the pace, the boys were doing three nights a week just to pull themselves back up so look they want it, they want to be competitive, I think they want to fulfil some of their potential”
