Tyrone Senior Footballer Colm Cavanagh says they had to be very patient to open up Carlow’s blanket defence.
Speaking to KCLR after the game on Saturday evening, Colm says they knew they would be able to open Carlow up the longer that the 2nd half went on.
“It’s always going to be hard coming up against certain defensive systems.
“You have to very patient at times and again, look the first half proved that whereby the game was nip and tuck, but again you know in the 2nd half things are going to open up and you just have to be very very patient.
“You have to be very controlled and skills have to be at a high level so we were lucky enough to execute that in the 2nd half and execute the scores when we needed it,” he said.
