The latest block of easing of government restrictions has come into force today.
The big news is that children’s training sessions can resume again and are being allowed in pods of 15 for those under 18 years of age.
For the moment, however, there are no children’s matches allowed to go ahead, like other sports, this is constantly being reviewed by NPHET and the government.
Indoor facilities on these sites such as changing rooms and showers etc have to stay closed.
It’ll still only be elite matches allowed from this date, and those will stay behind closed doors.
It’s a big day for the non-contact sports too, the main ones being golf and tennis.
Golf courses in Carlow, Kilkenny, and the country opened this morning, and what a day for it too, the weather (in Carlow/Kilkenny) is glorious and perfect for the first day back, even if the golf is a bit rusty.
