Former Kilkenny City Player and Manager Billy Walsh says it was unforgivable what happened to Republic of Ireland centre-half Richard Keogh who has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Speaking to KCLR, Billy says the consequences and fallout will be very severe.

He said “What happened to Keogh was just unforgivable, I mean you just can’t comprehend that, irresponsible at best, disgraceful at worst, his season over and I like Richard Keogh, playing really well for Ireland but he was captain of Derby County and the consequences for him are shocking now”.

“It’s unforgivable and I am sure Derby will come down really really hard, I’m sorry he is injured but they will still have to face up to bigger responsibilities”.
