Vale Wanderers Manager Garry Daly says their Cup Semi-Final opponents on Sunday, Slaney Rovers deserve credit for their consistency throughout the season.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Division One Tully’s Travel Cup Semi-Final between the two clubs, Garry says that despite Slaney Rovers been worthy League Champions, they are just focused on their own progression.
He said “You have to give Slaney credit, they have been really consistent throughout the year. I think particularly in the early part of the season, they have set a tone or set a pace really that most of the teams kind of struggled to keep up with”.
Garry added” What’s happened with ourselves is we have improved from the start of the year, and I think we just want to keep that progression going so we are very much just focused on our own progression from the start of this year, I think Slaney deserved the title based on their form over the course of the year but our focus on Sunday is to continue our progression that we have been making progress this year in 2019″.
