Former Carlow Oscar Traynor Manager Tom Donnelly has been appointed by Parkville to try and bring back the glory days to the club.

They finished 4th last season on 25 points which was 20 points off Crettyard who finished on 45.

Parkville Youths did the double last season which has seen Tom Donnelly bring through a number of young players onto this seasons panel.

It’s going to be another tough year for them though as the young players get to grips with the pace of Premier Football.

To try and add something extra the club recently done a link up with Glasgow Celtic.

Watch our video below with Tom Donnelly from the Carlow & District League Launch in the Seven Oaks Hotel.

The Last time to win the Premier division was back in 2004.

Tom also managed Crettyard United to (2) Premier Titles.

Parkville was founded in 1978.
