With Leopardstown and Limerick providing the festive racing viewing in Ireland this Christmas, today we’ll have to go without the latter.
A brief statement from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board on Twitter this morning confirmed the details.
Following 18mm of rain @LimerickRaces was found to be waterlogged & unfit for racing. With further rain forecast the fixture scheduled for today has been cancelled & there will be an 8am precautionary inspection at 8am tomorrow (Monday) morning ahead of the fixture scheduled pic.twitter.com/VjfacpTps8

Leopardstown goes ahead.
Leopardstown saw 16mm of rain fall overnight so things have “slowed down a little bit” per this morning’s course update.
