The launch of the Kilkenny hurling club championships takes place tonight in UPMC Nowlan Park ahead of the final group games in Kilkenny.

KCLR will provide live commentary and updates from around the grounds across the weekend with lots to play for. One of those games sees 2017 champions Dicksboro clash against Tullaroan, with both sides in contention to top the group.

Speaking to KCLR ‘boro player Ollie Walsh says they are starting to hit their stride in preparation for the Championship;

“At the end of the day, everyone’s just building for that championship and getting on a proper run or hitting form at the right time, that’s what it’s kind of all about.”

“So next week we have another tough game. It sets us up nicely for the championship wherever that leads us, and it’s just all about hitting the ground running then a couple of weeks.”

“So you know our game, we want to play our game and it’s just getting better at the whole time and then come championship, then it’s just hitting the ground running with the work rate, and playing ball.”
