Ballyhale Shamrocks are through to the Senior Club All-Ireland Final for the 2nd year in a row.
Henry Shefflins men fought off Slaughtneil of Derry yesterday in a tight 2-24 to 2-19 game.
Speaking to KCLR Shefflin said he was absolutely thrilled with the win.
He said “I’m absolutely thrilled as we were made fight for it, and I think those victories always mean a little bit more when you know you are pushed to the pin of your collar and that’s what we were today”.
“I was very concerned coming up here and I knew Slaughtneil were going to come with a big performance, but to fair to our lads I think they dug in, they scored 2-24 on the 5th of January, there was a lot of aspects you would be happy with and some you wouldn’t be that happy with, but to stand here straight after the match, I’m absolutely thrilled.
Ballyhale will face Borris-ileigh in the Senior Club Final on January 19th in Croke Park.
