Former Wexford Senior hurler Gary Laffan says that Wexford have developed and progress greatly this year under Davy Fitzgerald.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of tomorrow’s Wexford and Kilkenny League clash, Gary says that Wexford are better equipped to qualify beyond the All-Ireland Quarter-Final this year.

He said “I think on any given day we can beat one of the top teams, but whether we can get consistency to win two or three games in a row, that’s what we need to get to win an All-Ireland so yes if they got to a Quarter-Final, I feel this year they are more equipped to get over a Quarter-Final, the last two Quarter-Finals were very disappointing, they got two fairly decent beatings in them, but I think they are a little bit more developed this year”.

“I think they have a little more self-belief so well I do think they could beat one of the top teams in the Quarter-Final. Whether they have the consistency to go an win two or three big games against top opposition, I am not quite sure yet”.
