Former Wexford Senior Hurler Gary Laffan says that Sunday’s National League clash is a bigger game for Wexford than it is for Kilkenny.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s game, Gary says that Brian Cody won’t lose too much sleep if Kilkenny don’t qualify for the Quarter-Final.

He said “I presume at this stage, silverware is what everyone is looking out for down here let that be a League title or a Leinster title, that would be very important to Wexford hurling at the minute”.

“I think Kilkenny having won the League last year in a year they weren’t expecting to win, so that brought them on development wise, Wexford Kilkenny games always take on a life of their own and this home and away arrangement seems to bring a right bit of sort of passion to the whole thing so look Wexford probably definitely need to qualify for the Quarter-Final, if Kilkenny weren’t to qualify I don’t think Brian would be losing much sleep”.
