We caught up with manager Niall Carew, who outlined his plans for the 2023 campaign ahead of the game;
“Our expectations are very simple, we want to get out of Division 4. Last year was certainly all about building and galvanizing a team together. We have done that, so now it is all about getting results.”
“We are putting that pressure on ourselves to get results and we are hoping that Wicklow game is the first one we are going to target.”
Carlow are set to face Wicklow in the opening round of the Leinster Football Championship. If they do defeat the Orchard County, the Barrowsiders will face one of Dublin, Wexford or Laois in the last-eight.
