Kilkenny senior camogie back Miriam Bamrick says there’s huge competition for places now so you have to work hard every chance you get.
She was speaking ahead of their league semi-final against Tipperary on Sunday where the pressure is ramping up to nail down a place on the starting team ahead of the championship.
Speaking to scoreline.ie, she said:
“It’s great to be getting an opportunity, you have to remember that there are 30 plus girls on this panel, and every day you get to put on a starting jersey you have to take your chance and whether that’s in training, a challenge match or a match, I’m just lucky to be getting a chance and trying to take it as best as I can,” said Miriam.
Last time out
The sides haven’t met since Kilkenny beat their neighbours in the All Ireland semi-final in 2019.
Kilkenny had wins over Dublin and Offaly in the groups and then Limerick in the quarter-finals last weekend.
Tipperary meanwhile lost out to Cork in their first league game while they defeated Waterford to qualify for the quarters as group runner-up and then beat Offaly in that game.
